Weather updates: View local weather. Stephen Ministry Q&A
Why the Name Stephen? The name “Stephen” comes from St. Stephen, who was the first lay person commissioned by the apostles to provide caring ministry to those in need as recorded in Acts 6. Although Stephen Ministry is new to our congregation, it has been around since 1975. Our church is one of more than 9,000 Stephen Ministry congregations from more than 100 denominations. We just commissioned six new ministers for our own Stephen Ministry team. Please remember to pray for this new ministry, those who serve and those who are facing difficulties. Find more information on the Stephen Ministry page under "Get Involved." |
