  At First Baptist, we have an abiding desire and commitment to reach Jefferson City, Missouri, and beyond with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We believe that every member of First Baptist is to be a missionary.

  The Great Commission
  "Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'" Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

•  What Can I Do
  There are many ways to get involved and all of them are vitally important with eternal significance. Here are some ways you can reach people across barriers of language and culture with the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ:

  Pray!
  

  • Pray for our mission partners around the world.
  • Pray for our team members who are serving.
  • Pray for the countries and people groups we reach out to.
  • Pray for your involvement in missions whether locally or globally.

  Send!
  

  • Serve on the Missions Ministry Team or one of our Community Care Ministry Teams.
  • Provide financial support for missions through our FBC Missions giving option or provide financial support for a team member.  Contact Lori Hodges at 573.634.3603 to find out more information.
  • Provide financial support for national and global missions through the Baptist General Convention of Missouri, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and the Southern Baptist
  • Convention through your financial giving.
  • Give to our Missions Endowment Fund through the Missouri Baptist Foundation to ensure that our mission work continues throughout the generations.
