Recreation Opportunities
- Geezer Basketball: Men (40 and over) play pickup basketball games on Monday evenings at 6 p.m. except during the months of January and February. During those 2 months the group meets on Sunday evenings.
- Jr. Geezer Basketball: Men (under 40) play pickup basketball games on Sunday evenings at 7 p.m.
- Upward Basketball and Cheerleading - Jointly sponsored by First Baptist, First Christian and First United Methodist Churches, this is an opportunity for hundreds of boys and girls in the Jefferson City area each winter (December through March) and also involves adults who coach, referee, lead devotions and pray for this event. Registration starts in October for the 2011 season!
- Softball League - During the summer, FBC participates in co-recreational softball through Jefferson City Parks and Recreation Leagues. Softball is offered to any member 16 years or older. View summer schedule (PDF). Come support the FBCJC softball team this summer season!
- The Tom Nelson Memorial Golf Classic - Annual Golf Event to honor Tom Nelson and also for 2010 to raise money for the Nelson Socialization Room. Look for time and location in upcoming FBC publications.
.jpg) The rescheduled Tom Nelson Memorial Golf Classic is Saturday, September 18 at Railwood Golf Club. The cost is $40 per person for those 16 or older, with an 8 a.m. Shotgun Start.
