Phase 3 Announced! Here Are the Details

PHASE 3: Worship Gatherings Resume

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 8:15 A.M. AND 10:45 A.M.

(Note: Our church has announced that we will begin regathering on Sunday, September 13. You can find the announcement and additional information on our virus update page, www.fbcjc.org/virus.  This page contains additional details of how we plan to reopen.)

Before Worship

  • Our insurance provider requires we keep accurate records of the name and contact information for those who attend worship. We encourage you to register ahead of time each week at fbcjc.org or by calling the church office. Registration opens September 1 for the Sept. 13 service here and will be refreshed each week.
  • Those who do not register ahead of time will be asked to fill out a paper form with their name and contact information before entering the worship space.

Entering and Exiting the Building

  • Attendees may enter through Door 4 (first floor/rear parking lot) or Door 1 (front door/sanctuary). Other entrances will not be open.
  • Attendees entering Door 4 (first floor) will use the elevator to get to the fourth floor; to reduce contact, stairs will not be used for general entry/exit.
  • When you enter the building, volunteers will guide you along entry pathways to maintain social distance. Volunteers will seat attendees prior to worship and dismiss attendees at the conclusion of worship. Please be prepared to sit in a different place than your usual seat.

For your Safety

  • If you or your family are not feeling well or have been exposed to COVID-19, please stay home. Those who are aged 65 and older and/or have preexisting medical conditions are encouraged to join us for virtual worship; large gatherings are not safe for these folks. Masks will be required for all in attendance. We will have masks available, but encourage you to bring your own. Worship leaders will have masks on except when speaking or singing. Guests are asked to maintain a distance of 6 feet from other guests outside your family at all times. Please do not hug, handshake, or high-five.
  • Sanitizing and washing hands frequently is encouraged. Secure offering boxes will be available in the lobby.
  • While our Worship Teams will lead us in worship, we will not have congregational singing at this time.
  • The sanctuary and bathrooms will be cleaned in-between services.

Restrooms

  • The lobby restroom and the parlor-side women’s/men’s restrooms will be available for use.

Childcare

  • To maximize safety for children, families, and volunteers, we will not provide childcare during worship at this time. Worship bags will be available for children to use and take home.
